The Konooburu Dojo will be hosting a summer martial arts camp this year. Camp will be open to anyone who wishes to attend. We had a good turnout for the Spring Camp this year. Lets make it the same for the Summer Camp!

Cost:

Cost will be $30.00. Money from this camp will be put toward buying new equipment for future camps.

Time and Place:

Friday June 25th - Saturday June 26th.

We will meet at the Barbourville Wal-Mart parking lot at 3:30pm. Please be on time!! We will be leaving from there to visit a cave. After we finish at the cave we will meet back at the usual campsite.

Requirements:

You will be required to bring your own food for the event. We will break for a 1 hour lunch period.

You will need a flashlight and a hard hat or a helmet for the cave and repelling. If you have a helmet with a connected light it will be better. Wear gloves if you like. The cave WILL be wet and muddy.

Please bring a change of clothes. We do not cancel camps or class due to harsh weather. If you participate in exploring the cave, it will also be wet and muddy.

Please bring any training weapons you would like to work with. (bo, sword, etc.)

There will be no class Saturday the 5th. Class will continue as normal the next week.

The Konooburu Dojo is a member in good standing with Karate for Christ International, as well as the Kentucky Representative Dojo. We need to show support for them. Monies from tournament events cover the cost of the event and help to fund Christian Missionaries across the world.

If you are a Konooburu Dojo student and want to participate in this tournament, message us back. If there are enough people wanting to compete, we can make this an official Konooburu Dojo trip.

Karate for Christ World Championships

The tournament will be held June 19th 2010 at the Pigeon Forge High School in Pigeon Forge, TN. The first place winner of each event will hold the world title for Karate for Christ for the year in that event. KFCI will also have an overall World Grandchampion that will receive a Grandchampionship Belt. The person with the most points at the end of the tournament will receive this belt. This tournament will be held every year.

Hello all. Last week we had a database failure which completely wiped out our old website. I have switched webhosts, so hopefully this will not happen again. Over the next few days I'll be working on the site, so you might experience some problems. Hopefully everything will be functional within a week.
